Out to tender, the Farrow designed TMS middle school, Richmond Hill, Canada.

How we design educational facilities has a significant impact on the physical, emotional, and mind health of students.

There is a growing body of research into enriched environments whereby the underlying health benefits of nature and natural design elements – be it light, materials and shapes – support learning experiences for inquisitive minds.

They result in increase self-discipline, promote imagination and support cognitive development. Also, subjective experiences of natural beauty, environmental variety and novelty found within natural settings and reflected in architectural form, have been found to enhances place connection for students within their environments.

Farrow’s collaborators are Aspect Engineers, and TriAxis Construction Managers.
