Education Building Can Tell a Story

Education buildings tell important stories to their community, about their values and aspirations. Our Elmwood School building uses mass timber extensively in its structure.

One cubic metre of wood stores one tonne of carbon dioxide.

A typical passenger vehicle emits about 4.6 tonne of carbon dioxide per year.

The Elmwood building is the carbon equivalent of taking numerous cars off the road for a year.

Farrow believes our buildings can cause health – where we live, work, learn, heal and play.
