Fabricated double curved arched timber beams for the ‘north wing’ of the Farrow designed Butterfly cancer centre, Jerusalem Israel, are complete and ready to ship from Austria. Assembly on site begins mid-October. Fabrication and installation by Wiehag.

This week, Farrow was in Israel leading workshops with large physical models, for the design of the expansion of 15 acre Herzog Medical Centre campus.

The ‘forest room’ dining hall ceiling is supported by six timber multi-stemmed column grouping, each consisting of three diagonally placed straight columns, in a triangular arrangement in plan.

Today, the President of Israel came to see and understand Farrow’s ‘cause health’ model for the expansion of the 15 acre campus for the Herzog Medical Centre, as a community heart for not only the medical centre, but for the surrounding mixed use neighbourhoods, as a new direction for health centres in the country; a model that is getting attention at the highest levels of government.
