May 13 2021. Mexico City lecture Thursday May 13 by Tye Farrow to the Centre for Conscious Design. The CCD is an international grass roots think tank focused on using conscious design to alleviate complex social and urban issues today and in the future. The CCD’s mission is to reconceptualize design so as to create environments which maximize individual and community potential, while integrating equity, wellbeing, and resilience into the fabric of everyday life; values that are core to Farrow’s believe in how enriched environments gives or causes health.

TreeHugger on Farrows E'Terra Samara Resort: “Treehouses nowadays come built in an amazing variety of forms . . . but building a treehouse that doesn't harm the tree, or restrict its growth often means paying special attention to engineering or using customized components like a Garnier limb. Toronto-based architecture firm Farrow Partners Architects approaches this problem by hanging their curvaceous treehouse from the tree's upper trunk, rather than nailing to it.”

What if health was the basis for judging every public space, every building? What is the relationship between emotion, perception and placemaking? The lecture will occur on March 23, 2021.
