This expansion project includes 78 inpatient beds and a doubling of the number of labour and delivery rooms (from seven to 15) with additional growth for the surgical program. Other improvements include expanding cancer treatment resources to incorporate a new high-dose radiation therapy suite and additional surgical oncology.

The design also includes neonatal care, increased diagnostic imaging services and an expanded laboratory.
