Farrow Engaged to Master Plan Vancouver Independent School
Farrow has been engaged by Stratford Hall to complete a Facilities Development Strategic Master Plan for its unified campus in the heart of Vancouver. The master plan will explore how the facilities can create an environment that emphasizes creativity, action and service; foster plurality, integrity and respect; and connect students to the outside community—resulting in Global Minded citizens. The design will explore how Stratford Hall can expand its campus so as to: places learning & learners at the centre of the building’s function; create a sense of identity & belonging; build a strong sense of community that is inclusive and welcoming; incorporate advances in learning pedagogies; support our students’ preferred modes of learning and how they want to learn; and offer Stratford Hall the flexibility to continue to evolve, improve and advance its collaborative and creative offerings for students.
Stratford Hall, an independent co-educational school is one of five Western Canada independent schools to complete International Baccalaureate experience with IB offered from Kindergarten through Grade 12 to all students. The school teaches the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme, and Diploma Programmes. In accordance with the IB philosophy, the school emphasizes multilingual ability and a global perspective.
This is Farrows second independent school in British Columbia and adds to the firms expanding expertise in this area.
