Farrow Completes Trafalgar Castle School Master Plan

Farrow presented the final master plan for Trafalgar Castle School, one Canada’s oldest independent schools, located in Whitby Ontario to the school’s community in October. The master plan includes new collaborative gatherings space, student common area, fitness centre, performing arts centre, music centre and visual arts study space. The master plan also reorganizes the internal circulation as well as repositions a number of interior spaces.

Housed in a castle, built by Nelson Gilbert Reynolds, Sheriff of Ontario County, as a private residence in 1859, the building was the largest private dwelling in Canada until Casa Loma was built in Toronto. The new master plan will include additional performance space, common areas and learning amenities for the girls.

Farrow has completed over 30 master plans and has work with a number of Canada’s leading independent schools.
