Farrow’s Facilities Development Master Plan for Elmwood School in Ottawa, Canada was approved for implementation by the schools Board of Governors. The plan creates a new main entrance to Ottawa’s oldest independent girls school located in the prominent Rockcliffe neighbourhood. Along with a new semi-circular entry and lobby, the design includes a dining hall, students common, performance centre, health and wellness centre along with a variety of exterior common spaces.

This project intends to revitalize and strengthen the image of the school in the minds of the parents, students and staff; a project that will create the physical environment where the girls are at home, where they can truly be themselves, to unlock their intelligence, their passion and their greatness.

Elmwood is one of the most innovative girls’ school in North America and ranked as one of the top 25 private schools in Canada. Acclaimed for its academic excellence, caring atmosphere and strong community spirit, Elmwood is a school where girls are encouraged to stretch themselves, try new things, create and explore.

Farrow has a worldwide reputation for creating healthy learning places that nourish the spirit and touch the heart, having worked on over a dozen independent school projects.
